I will review a few cases of random walks and show how the interplay between the processes and combinatorics has enriched the subject.
Dr Sri Gopal Mohanty received his B.A. from Utkal University, his M.A. from Panjab University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Alberta. He is now Professor Emeritus of Mathematics and Statistics at McMaster University. His research interests include random walks, queues, nonparametric inferences, discrete distributions, and enumerative combinatorics.
